WHO IS KINDORA

KINDORA Family Theatre Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building confidence, creativity, and community through the performing arts. Founded on the belief that everyone has a story worth telling, KINDORA provides a safe and welcoming space where people of all ages can express themselves, grow, and belong.

Our programs are designed to bring generations together—children, teens, and adults—encouraging teamwork, mentorship, and connection through the shared experience of theatre and creative storytelling. Whether on stage, behind the scenes, or in a classroom, we strive to nurture imagination, develop real-world skills, and inspire personal growth.

KINDORA believes that theatre is not just about performance; it’s about transformation. Through laughter, learning, and collaboration, participants discover new confidence, empathy, and a sense of purpose. Every production, class, and event reflects our commitment to family-friendly entertainment, creative excellence, and positive values that uplift our community.

We exist to spark joy, ignite creativity, and remind people—young and old—that they have something meaningful to offer the world. At KINDORA, the spotlight isn’t just for actors; it shines on everyone who dares to dream, create, and connect.

Our Story

Kindora began as a small idea — one that grew out of something very personal.

You see, not every kid fits neatly into the mold that school or society creates.
Some kids are academic stars. Others are born athletes.

They make the teams, get the A’s, win the awards — and that’s wonderful.

But then there are the others.
The ones who don't fit it the academics or athletics box - but in a different box.
The ones who cheer from the sidelines, who sometimes feel invisible in class, who walk the halls at school wondering if they’ll ever belong anywhere.

I was one of those kids.

I wasn’t the top student. I wasn’t the athlete.
And there were times when I felt so far on the outside that I honestly believed something must be wrong with me.

When you’re that person, the one who doesn’t quite fit, your confidence slowly starts to fade.
You stop raising your hand. You stop trying out. You stop dreaming big because you’re afraid to fail again.

But here’s what I learned as I grew up:
There was nothing wrong with me — and there’s nothing wrong with any of those kids.

They just need a place where they could shine in their own way.

A place where kindness mattered more than perfection, where creativity was celebrated, and where people saw you, really saw you; for who you are.

That’s what I wanted Kindora to be.

Kindora was born out of the belief that everyone deserves a place to belong — no matter their age, experience, or background.
A place where people are encouraged to step out, to grow, to try, and to find confidence through creativity and community.

Because when someone believes in you — even just one person — it changes everything.
