NOW RECRUITING: LEAD ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (VOLUNTEER)

Are you passionate about theatre, leadership, and inspiring others?
KINDORA Theatre is looking for a Lead Assistant Director to help bring our large-scale, family-friendly musicals to life!
This is a volunteer (unpaid) position — but the experience, community, and impact are priceless.
About the Role:
You’ll work alongside our Director to help guide rehearsals, build cast confidence, and keep creativity flowing! This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll:
*Lead and supervise team warm-ups and group activities
*Train and guide youth, teen, and adult actors in acting and stage presence
*Help manage rehearsals and production organization
*Support communication between cast, crew, and leadership
*Foster a fun, positive, and values-centered environment
*Attend rehearsals, performances, and team meetings
Qualifications:
*Theatre and leadership experience a valuable asset and preferred
*Mature, responsible, and of good character
*Strong communication and people skills
*Comfortable leading all ages independently — children, teens, and adults
*Must align with KINDORA’s values and beliefs: kindness, integrity, creativity, and community, and foundational Beleifs
*role includes a 3 mnth active shadowing
